What is Youth Impact?
Youth Impact is an exciting opportunity for young people across the South. It
has been designed to equip teens with essential life skills, build new friendships, make a
difference in their local community and build up their confidence.

Who can take part in the programme?
Youth Impact is open to all young people aged 15-17 (Year 11 and Year 12 students).
​
How long is the programme?
Youth Impact runs for 5 days from Monday to Friday. Monday to Wednesday will be 10-4,
Thursday will depend on what the young people decide to do for their Social Action Project,
and Friday will be 10-2.

What kind of activities will I be doing?
Young People will take part in lots of different activities including:
ï‚· Team building games
ï‚· Public Speaking workshop
ï‚· First Aid
ï‚· Critical Debating workshop
ï‚· Monopoly Challenge
ï‚· Paperclip Challenge
ï‚· Social Action Project

What is a Social Action Project?
A social action project is anything that makes a positive impact on the local community. This
could be raising money for charity, raising awareness for a cause, or volunteering time (e.g.
litter pick). In the past, we have had groups deliver quiz nights, cake sales, raffles to raise
money for charity. We have also had groups take part in beach cleans and litter picks to
make their community cleaner – so it really is over to the young people to decide what they
would like to do.

What are the benefits of taking part in Youth Impact?
There are numerous benefits to taking part in Youth Impact:
ï‚· Meet new friends that may be going to the same college/sixth form as you
ï‚· Learn new skills
ï‚· Enhance your CV
ï‚· Make a difference in your local community
Is there a cost to take part?
The cost of the Youth Impact programme is £99. However, if you receive Free School Meals
or are a Pupil Premium student, then the programme is completely FREE. There is also an
option to split the cost over 3 instalments. Please get in contact with us for more information

Where does the programme take place?
We have lots of different programmes happening in the summer holidays across Hampshire
and Dorset, as well as Bristol and Reading so choose a date and location that suits you best.
It’s an amazing opportunity meet new people so you might choose to pick a location based
on where you are going to college/sixth form.

How do I sign up?
Please follow this link [link to application form] to complete our online application form, make
your payment and choose your date and location for the programme. Places are offered on a
first come first served basis so be quick to avoid missing out.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a certificate upon completion of the programme which you can then talk
about in job interviews, uni applications and personal statements.

Who runs the programme?
Youth Impact is run by two people with nearly 20 years of experience working with young
people in a variety of settings. It is run through a company called Your Sports Education
which is an Ofsted registered company providing wrap around solutions and sports provision
in primary schools as well as working on youth projects for teenagers.
